Impedance Characteristic Monitoring Device
Category:
The KSZKTXJK-6800 impedance‑characteristic protection device is suitable for the protection of shunt capacitor banks, online power‑quality monitoring, and early‑warning protection of capacitors, reactors, and discharge coils in non‑directly grounded or low‑resistance‑grounded systems at 110 kV and below. This online monitoring unit can effectively assess the operating condition of shunt capacitor banks; when capacitor or reactor parameters deviate or a fault occurs, it provides timely warnings and trip‑out protection, while also enabling fault analysis and location.

The KSZKTXJK-6800 impedance‑characteristic protection device is suitable for the protection of shunt capacitor banks, online power‑quality monitoring, and early‑warning protection of capacitors, reactors, and discharge coils in non‑directly grounded or low‑resistance grounded systems at 110 kV and below. This online monitoring unit can effectively assess the operating condition of shunt capacitor banks; when capacitor or reactor parameters deviate or a fault occurs, it provides timely warnings and trip‑out protection, while also enabling fault analysis and location.
The KSZKTXJK-6800 provides protection functions that include the following (all of which are three-phase protections, with the capability to isolate each phase):
● Three-phase overvoltage protection.
● Three-phase undervoltage protection.
● Open-delta voltage unbalance protection.
● Double-star‑type neutral‑line unbalance current protection.
● Phase-to-neutral differential unbalance protection.
● Bridge-type differential current protection.
● Instantaneous overcurrent protection.
● Time-limited current instantaneous trip protection.
● Overcurrent protection.
● Reactor over-limit warning and protection for 3rd/5th harmonic currents.
● Harmonic voltage overlimit early warning.
● Harmonic current overcurrent warning (≥0.481cn). Additionally, the following abnormal alarm functions are included:
● General accident signal.
● Fire alarm.
● Control circuit open-circuit alarm.
● Harmonic voltage peak warning (≥1.22Ucn).
● Lower-bound deviation warning for capacitance values.
● Capacitance value upper deviation warning.
● Early warning for capacitor dielectric loss exceeding the limit.
● Capacitor insulation early-warning protection.
● Fault early-warning protection for discharge coils.
● Reactance lower-bound warning.
● Reactance upper deviation warning.
● Reactor inter-turn short-circuit early warning.
● Resonant frequency out-of-range warning.
● Ultra-high temperature warning protection
The figure below shows the front-panel layout and the rear-panel layout of the device.

The device is housed in a fully enclosed 4U half‑rack‑height standard enclosure, which can be mounted on a display panel or installed directly within a switchgear cabinet. Refer to the figure for the recommended installation dimensions of the switchgear cabinet.

Note: During installation, sufficient clearance must be provided above and below the mounting holes in the panel or switchgear to ensure adequate heat dissipation. All hardware modules of the device must be securely and properly inserted into their respective slots on the unit.
