High Voltage Series Reactor

Explosion-proof high-voltage series reactors are primarily used in 6 kV to 35 kV power systems, connected in series with high-voltage capacitor banks. They effectively suppress and absorb higher-order harmonics, limit switching inrush currents and operational overvoltages, protect the capacitor banks, improve the system’s voltage waveform, and enhance the power factor of the grid.

Complete Set Of High Voltage Shunt Capacitors

The KGC high-voltage shunt capacitor bank is currently the most widely used reactive power compensation and filtering device. It typically comprises shunt capacitor banks, series reactors, vacuum contactors, disconnect switches, controllers, surge arresters, discharge coils, and protective and measuring equipment, as shown in the figure. The equipment is primarily employed in three-phase AC power systems at voltage levels of 6 kV, 10 kV, 35 kV, and 110 kV.

High Voltage Frame TypeShunt Capacitor Device

High‑voltage frame‑type shunt capacitor banks are primarily used in power systems operating at industrial frequency (50/60 Hz) to improve the system power factor, reduce losses in transformers and transmission lines, enhance grid voltage quality, and increase equipment utilization.

SVG High Voltage Static Var Generator

The fundamental principle of the KS series high‑voltage static var generators from Konstanz is to connect a self‑commutated bridge circuit in parallel with the power grid via an reactor. By appropriately adjusting the phase and magnitude of the AC‑side output voltage of the bridge circuit, or by directly controlling its AC‑side current, the circuit can either absorb or inject the required reactive current, thereby achieving dynamic reactive power compensation.

Complete Sets Of Low Voltage Capacitors

The KSVG‑TSC series low-voltage capacitor bank is composed of dry-type capacitors, tuned reactors, capacitor-specific switching devices, primary fuses, molded-case circuit breakers, power factor controllers, and other components. It is connected in parallel to AC three-phase power systems at 1 kV and below, serving as a reactive power compensation device to improve the power factor, regulate network voltage, mitigate harmonic distortion, and reduce line losses.

SVG Low Voltage Static Var Generator

The Low-Voltage Static VAR Generator (SVG) is a shunt-type dynamic reactive power compensation device. By modulating the switching states of IGBTs in the inverter bridge, it can control both the magnitude and phase of the AC voltage generated from DC. The entire system functions as a phase‑shifting power source; by detecting the reactive power required by the system, it can rapidly inject reactive power of equal magnitude but opposite phase, achieving local reactive power balance and maintaining the system’s high power factor in real time.
