High Voltage Power Capacitor

KBAM explosion-proof high-voltage shunt capacitors are primarily used in 50 Hz or 60 Hz AC power systems to improve the power factor of the grid. Their performance complies with the Chinese national standard GB 3983.2 “High-Voltage Shunt Capacitors” and the international standard IEC 60671‑1. The maximum capacitance of an AC capacitor unit can reach 700 kvar (at 50 Hz), and it is characterized by extremely low losses and high reliability. Each capacitor unit is constructed by winding a dielectric layer of polypropylene film together with aluminum foil electrodes, and it can be equipped with various fuse‑protection schemes, including internal‑fuse (CHDB) configuration, external‑fuse (CHDE) configuration, or fuse‑less (CHDF) configuration.

High Voltage Series Reactor

Explosion-proof high-voltage series reactors are primarily used in 6 kV to 35 kV power systems, connected in series with high-voltage capacitor banks. They effectively suppress and absorb higher-order harmonics, limit switching inrush currents and operational overvoltages, protect the capacitor banks, improve the system’s voltage waveform, and enhance the power factor of the grid.
